Washington, D.C. is surrounded by a thousand wonderful places to visit, and we try to get out of the city a couple times every month. Whether it’s biking in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia or picking peaches at an orchard in Maryland, we love to be outside and to feel the ground under our feet (or bike wheels!).
We love Halloween and have made it an annual ritual to take our nephews or friends’ children to a pumpkin patch to take hay rides and pick out a pumpkin. We can’t wait to continue this tradition with our own child.
Our dream is to buy a small place in the mountains outside of D.C. where our child or children can develop their own love of nature.
